...Reported for DC and Maryland international development firms.
This is just a tiny subset of the layoffs in the international development industry. The 1,759 jobs in the sector is only for Washington, D.C., not Virginia or Maryland. And only those reported to the DC government. Note that all of the jobs are coded as “permanent closures.”

Updated: 1,531 laid off in Maryland. Again: this is not a complete list. (Not sure why DAI has their employees listed as “Temporary” and others list - more realistically - as “No Recall.”)

This is only a small subset, indeed. Many DC employers laid off hundreds of people without filing WARN notifications, and so are not included in this list.
